01 · Why we exist
Every student deserves a way forward.
EdLight Initiative was founded on the belief that every young person in Haiti deserves access to world-class education and opportunities. In practice that means removing what usually stops a student: cost, distance and language. Our programmes run online, and they teach in Haitian Creole and French as well as English.
02 · Learn
Learning that fits a student's path.
Two platforms cover the learning itself, from secondary-school subjects to programming.
EdLight Code
Hands-on coding tracks taught in Haitian Creole, French and English, with lessons and exercises that run in the browser.
03 · Lead
Two weeks that change a student's path.
Every summer, ESLP brings secondary students together for leadership seminars with speakers from Harvard, MIT, Microsoft, Deutsche Bank and Cornell. In 2026, fellows spent a day at Radio Télé Métropole in Port-au-Prince, and 35 graduated at IICA in Pétion-Ville.
Applications for ESLP 2027 open in spring 2027.
04 · Go further
Credentials the world recognises.
Through EdLight Scholars, run in partnership with Coursera and DataCamp Donates, selected Haitian students and graduates get a Coursera or DataCamp licence for three months, with certificates a strong student can show on a CV.
